Time & Money—迅速構(gòu)造托福獨(dú)立口語題觀點(diǎn)

在托福口語的獨(dú)立題備考過程中，很多考生往往苦于不能短時構(gòu)造觀點(diǎn)，也就是在15秒的準(zhǔn)備時間內(nèi)想出兩個合理的觀點(diǎn)證明話題。更不用說隨后考生還要進(jìn)行一個完整的45秒的邏輯表達(dá)。所以大家通常對口語中的獨(dú)立題會心生畏懼，怕自己什么也說不出來，時間就這么過去了。本次，筆者主要想給大家介紹從時間和金錢角度來快速構(gòu)造觀點(diǎn)的方法。這種構(gòu)造觀點(diǎn)的方法可能不是穎的，但是對托?？谡Z中的很多話題都或多或少適用。很多情況下，能解大家的燃眉之急。下面我們從托福獨(dú)立題的真題來分析一下如何從以上兩種角度來快速地構(gòu)造邏輯以及具體度。

1. Watch a movie at theatre or watch the movie at home, which one do you prefer?

要在電影院看電影，還是在家看電影之間做選擇。從個人感受來想，大家多數(shù)可能都會選擇去電影院看電影，但是除了說big screen, 或者永遠(yuǎn)也不知道怎么用英文表示的“熱鬧”之外，大家就不知道再怎么繼續(xù)說下去了。其實(shí)，不妨從Time & Money方面來考慮，我們是否能把話題說的更具邏輯性和更具體呢？

Time - watch the movie at home. 在家看電影是最省時間的方式了。如果去電影院看電影，家住得遠(yuǎn)的還要大老遠(yuǎn)跑到市中心去看。為了看熱門電影，還要排長隊買票，買完票后還要等好久才能看到電影。從這些經(jīng)歷來看，確實(shí)，在家看電影也不錯。

I prefer to watch the movie at home because of the matter of time. I mean, watching movies at theatre is time-consuming. Once, when I planned to watch the movie at cinema, I have to reach there at least one hour in advance. What’s more, for those box office movies, I have to wait a long queue to get the ticket and wait until the beginning of the movie.

Money - helps to save money. 在家看省錢。不出家門，就能看到電影。而去電影院看電影，路上要花錢pay for the transport, 買票要花錢fees for tickets, 看電影還要帶著點(diǎn)零食和飲料money spend on snacks and beverages, 這樣一羅列，確實(shí)在家能省好多。

Another reason is the matter of cost. I mean, watching at theatre costs more than at home. To be more specific, I have to pay for the transport and there are fees for tickets. Sometimes, I have to spend money on snacks and beverages. So I think watching at home is a more cost-effective way.

通過以上兩個段落，把時間和金錢兩個觀點(diǎn)整合起來，那我們就可以得到一個完整的獨(dú)立題的邏輯表達(dá)了。

2. Celebrate the birthday in holding a party or celebrate the birthday quietly, which one do you prefer?

要我們在辦生日party和一個人默默無聞地過生日之間進(jìn)行選擇。如果大家選擇辦個party，理由1. 熱鬧；2. 禮物。那我們如何快速地從時間和成本的角度想呢？

省時間 — 一個人過

I prefer to celebrate the birthday alone because of the problem of time. You know, as a university student, in addition to the academic work, I have joined in lots of school clubs. Every day, I have a tight schedule. What’s more, in order to holding a party, I have to design and decorate the place ahead of time, which will, all cost lots of time.

成本低 — 一個人過

Another reason is that holding a party costs lots of money. I mean, I have to rent a place which can accommodate all my friends. What’s more, the food and decoration can also be a burden for the freshman who does not have income like me. It is better to celebrate quietly.

同樣，我們把時間和成本整合起來就可以對我們的話題進(jìn)行完整描述了。

3. Take a real trip or trip virtually by reading the books and articles, which one do you prefer?

是喜歡真正的旅行，還是喜歡在書本文章中暢游呢？很多同學(xué)的反應(yīng)是更喜歡真正的旅行。說到真正的旅行，大家想到的就4個字：身臨其境。對于很多托福話題，大家想說的其實(shí)并不好說。我們不妨從另一個角度進(jìn)行構(gòu)思，看看會不會好說一點(diǎn)。

通過看書來虛擬旅游，必然是省錢，比如說路費(fèi)、門票、住宿、餐飲等等。

I prefer to virtually take the trip. Because it is a very economical way which can save me lots of money. To be more specific, I do not have to pay for the transport on the road, entrance tickets to the tourist attraction or even the accommodation. Instead, I only need to buy the book from the store or borrow them from the library. It will not cost as much as the real trip.

其次，這種虛擬旅游還很節(jié)省時間。如果要去逛逛歐洲、亞洲各個經(jīng)典地方，我們花半天讀讀書就好了，照樣有風(fēng)景和圖片。另外，平時旅游回來都會特別累，還要花些時間調(diào)整一下。這樣說來，讀書確實(shí)比較省時間。

Furthermore, by reading the books or articles, we are able to save lots of time. Say, within half a day, we can finish our trip to Paris and Tokyo by buying the books from the book store or borrowing them from the library. Also, usually, we need an extra week or several days to adjust ourselves after the real trip. But by means of reading, it will not cost us too much time to do the adjustment.

這里，筆者并不想去限制大家的觀點(diǎn)，只是要說明它是一個能夠解大家燃眉之急的方法。它能讓考生在短時間內(nèi)構(gòu)造自己的觀點(diǎn)。當(dāng)然從這兩個方面切入話題，大家也會覺得內(nèi)容更充實(shí)更具體，這也就是筆者寫這篇文章的初衷。
