項目介紹

IEA Student Essay Competition學(xué)生論文競賽是Institute of Economic Affairs（IEA）英國自由市場智庫主辦的Student Essay Competition學(xué)生論文競賽。IEA成立于1955年，目的是通過分析和闡述市場在解決經(jīng)濟和社會問題中的作用來提高對自由社會基本制度的理解，至今已經(jīng)與世界上許多頂*經(jīng)濟學(xué)家合作如眾多諾貝爾經(jīng)濟學(xué)家，已發(fā)布了12位諾貝爾獎獲得者的論文、書籍和文章等。Dorian Fisher每年面向全球所有學(xué)習(xí)A-Level和IB課程的學(xué)生，角逐英鎊現(xiàn)金大獎！

2019 IEA Dorian Fisher競賽題目

所有參賽作品都需要包含以下三篇內(nèi)容：

· 大約1200字的短文，任意選擇其中一個問題回答：

o Are there ever conditions under which free trade is not the best policy? If yes, what are they, if not then why not? 有沒有什么情況下自由貿(mào)易不會是一個很好的政策？如果有，是什么情況？如果沒有，是為什么沒有？

o What are the economic challenges posed by an ageing population and how might they be addressed? 人口老齡化會帶來什么樣的經(jīng)濟挑戰(zhàn)？如何解決？

o What does it mean to say “there is no such thing as a free lunch”? 天下沒有免費的午餐這話要怎么理解？是什么意思？

· 500字短文，任意選擇其中一個問題回答：

o What exactly is opportunity cost and why is it such an important part of economic thinking? 機會成本到底是什么?為什么它在經(jīng)濟思維中如此重要?

o Are there inherent problems with the idea of market failure? 市場失靈的概念是否存在硬傷?

o How and why does time matter in economic thinking and analysis? 在經(jīng)濟思考和分析中，時間是如何起作用的?為什么起作用?

· 用500字回答下述問題

o Identify an area of economics that you think should be given more attention in the A- Level or IB syllabus and say why this is so. 找出一個你認為應(yīng)該在A- Level或IB課程大綱中給予更多關(guān)注的經(jīng)濟學(xué)領(lǐng)域，并說明原因。

 IEA Dorian Fisher競賽獎項

1. 論文第*一名獲得500英鎊

2. 另外三名得者分別獲得250英鎊獎金

3. 參與者*多的學(xué)校也可以獲得500英鎊獎金

4. 除上述四位獲獎選手外，還有其余優(yōu)秀選手都將受邀參加秋季IEA一天特別活動以及頒獎典禮
